Hardy ridge near Beacon rock
We will hike on Hardy Ridge in the Beacon Rock, Hamilton Mtn state park. 8.1 Miles round trip. 2175 elevation gain. B Moderate hike. A beautiful hike with many wild flowers. Discovery pass is necessary cost $30 per year or $10 per day. A kiosk is at Beacon rock or an envelope at the trail head. We will meet at the Gateway parking building 1321 NE 99th on the lower level. This is a strenuous hike so please know your limits. Group can decide on difficulty level they prefer. Call Linda to RSVP and ask questions. We can discuss your difficulty preference on the hike.

Our tour begins in Charleston. Experience Southern hospitality in America’s Southeast. Charleston is a city That has survived the Civil War, major fires, an earthquake, and hurricanes, and still remains elegant, charming And full of grace. You can take a cruise to see For Sumter, do a city walking tour, visit Boone Hall Plantation And Gardens, and Aiken-Rhett house. The gardens will be in full bloom and they offer walking tours. We spend time In the Bustling City Market, one of the oldest public market in the country. This evening we have a welcome dinner at A local restaurant where you can experience southern food at it’s finest. We stay in the Courtyard Historic District.
? Then travel the south coast to historic Savannah in our beautiful coach. Explore Factors Walk and River Street, Where old cotton warehouses have been converted into trendy shops, taverns, and restaurants. We gather at a popular local restaurant on Savannah’s famous River Street for a cooking demonstration and dinner showcasing Regional specialties. Next day select between a trolley or walking tour highlighting Savannah’s Historic District. Travel the cobblestone-paved street beneath moss-draped oaks. Allow the stately mansions, beautiful squares And romantic riverfront promenades to capture your heart. We then receive a guided tour of the Mercer Williams house, which is the famed home from "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil”. Before leaving stop at the Pin Point Heritage Museum to learn about the Gullah Geechee people, famous for their sweetgrass basketry - an Intricate handicraft of African origin. While here we stay at the Doubletree Historic Savannah.

Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens
Walking through East Moreland . We will meet at the parking area of The Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, 5801 SE 28th Ave Portland Oregon . The gardens do not have a free Monday so we will walk thru this neighborhood and also thru the Reed College campus. It is a lovely walk with great yards and gardens to view. Meeting time 10am. Yes, Dog Friendly if well socialized and on a leash. A very easy walk with some steps. Beautiful flowers at slow walking pace . We can eat at the Heist food carts afterward.
